The past two years have been transformative for the world.
The Great Resignation has seen millions of Americans realize they are burned out, underpaid, and overworked.
They’ve resigned from their draining jobs and either found a new job that they hope (fingers crossed) will be more fulfilling, gone on a sabbatical from work to explore what they want to do, or opened their own business.
Even though I cheer on the downfall of capitalism, I find myself hoping that more members of the Great Resignation pursue their own businesses, even if on the side while they build enough financial security to go full-time in their business.
Owning my own business has been the only way I’ve ever been able to have control over my salary, schedule, mission, and projects.
For the past two years, because of my business, I’ve been able to bring home a higher salary than my husband, a tenured professor at an R1 university.
I’m saving more for retirement, I’m putting money towards my son’s 529 plan every month, I’ve saved a year’s worth of personal expenses, and now I’m investing.
It’s an incredible feeling.
But it took years for me to get here. It took a lot of research, masterminds, and even tears.
I want to help you sidestep as much of that as possible and get to the point where you have more financial security and growth potential than you could have ever had with a draining 9-5.
