Our Team
Here are brief introductions to each of our team members:
Dr. Krista Kurlinkus is our founder, CEO, and lead grant writer. She holds a Ph.D. in English Rhetoric, Composition & Literacy Studies from The Ohio State University and has written winning multi-million dollar federal grants, global development grants, state grants, six-figure academic research grants, and corporate, private, and community foundation grants.
Dr. Julie Ann Ward is our lead grant writing associate and Grant Writing Made Easy instructor. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and has worked as a researcher and educator at various institutions. Dr. Ward is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and was named the Poet Laureate of the City of Norman in 2022. Julie specializes in Women’s/Human Rights, Racial and Cultural Justice, Arts and Culture Research and Nonprofit Grants.
Dr. Stephanie Weaver is a grant writing associate and has a PhD in rhetoric and writing studies and a passion for effective and engaging communication. She’s written everything from scholarly articles and college-level curriculum to grants and permit applications to novels and TTRPG campaigns. Besides writing, she loves knitting, playing ukulele, and watching noir films from around the world. Stephanie is an Environmental Advocacy, Arts and Culture, and Workforce and Economic Development Grants Specialist.
Dr. William Kurlinkus is our lead user experience designer and technical writer, as well as a professor of rhetoric, digital media, technical communication, and user-centered design. He assists clients with writing technical documents such as manuals, standard operating procedures, and reports. Internally, he works with our team to develop courses and improve our students’ user experience.

Angela Bates is a grant writing associate with experience in research and development, international business, and communications. She has been honored with the 2022 Global Phenomenal Woman Award for her unwavering dedication to community development and empowering her clients throughout the world to create inspiring narratives. Angela is a Biomedical Research and International Grants Specialist.
Dr. Jen Herman is a grant writing associate with expertise in academic and scientific writing. She earned her PhD in Rhetoric and Composition at the Ohio State University, and has experience consulting with clients on writing, revising, and editing research journal manuscripts and grant proposals. Jen is an Arts and Sciences Research Grants and Technical Writing Specialist.
Maira Durazo, M.P.A., is a professional grant writer and program manager of over four years. She has held various roles surrounding social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, program development, and grant writing, centering the delivery of public service through equity, inclusion, and diversity. In addition to her extensive experience writing grants, Maira is a creative leader with in-depth knowledge and expertise. Maira is a Federal Workforce and Economic Development Grants Specialist.
Arielle Isedenu is our digital marketing and sales assistant. She is a 2022 graduate of Dartmouth College, trained vocalist and singer/songwriter with a focus in Alternative R&B. She has experience in grassroots organizing, TikTok agency start-ups and recently worked on the creative team at Illumination Entertainment and the digital marketing team at Friends at Work, a celebrity talent management company.
